ABSTRACT: This study investigates strategies for promoting resilience in vocational education programs, focusing on enhancing students' ability to adapt, persevere, and thrive in the face of challenges. Resilience is crucial for vocational students navigating dynamic job markets and evolving industry demands. The objectives were to (1) identify factors contributing to resilience in vocational education, (2) evaluate existing strategies and interventions for building resilience among students, and (3) propose recommendations to foster a resilient learning environment in vocational schools. A survey research design was selected to gather data from students, educators, and industry stakeholders, exploring their perspectives on resilience-building factors and effective strategies. The sample size included 180 participants, chosen through purposive sampling to ensure representation from vocational institutions across Nigeria, focusing on diverse socio-economic backgrounds and geographical regions. The case study focused on Kano State, renowned for its vocational training initiatives and resilience-focused educational programs. Findings highlighted the importance of supportive learning environments, mentorship programs, and practical skill development in enhancing student resilience. Effective strategies included resilience workshops, peer support networks, and career counseling services. Recommendations included integrating resilience-building activities into vocational curricula, providing mental health support services, and strengthening partnerships with industry to enhance job readiness skills.
